Pure Grain has been delivering their high-proof distillation of country, rock, blues, and soul for more than 20 years. Tragically, their frontman, Chris “Carolina Kidd” Taber, passed away in 2020. Ryan Moore, a longtime friend and follower of the band, stepped up to fill his spot. So, it is fitting that he penned the band’s first new release since Taber’s passing. Just in time for Father’s Day, Pure Grain is releasing their brand new single “Grass Stains”. Written by the band along with newest member singer songwriter Ryan Moore, this single marks the bands first release in years. Grass Stains is a song about reflecting on our own childhoods and how fast things move in life. We were inspired to write this tune watching our kids growing up too fast. To release this in time for Father’s Day and in honor of our fallen brother The Carolina Kidd couldn’t feel more right!”

We’re excited to announce this upcoming show with our Sol Records brothers, the Dallas Moore Band coming to Lawrenceburg, Indiana’s own Whiskey City Liberty Theater…. Friday May 30th, 2025. Doors open at 7pm. Dallas is bringing in the whole band from Texas and we will be kicking things off showcasing songs from our new album including our latest single “Grass Stains.” Advance tickets are available for purchase.
